1 — Acceptance of terms
By purchasing or accessing any course or membership on Potter Academy ("the Platform"), operated by Thomas Potter, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not proceed with your purchase.
2 — Licence to use course materials
Upon purchase, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access and use the course materials for your own private educational purposes only. You may not:
- Share, distribute, resell, or sublicense the materials to any third party
- Use the materials for any commercial purpose without prior written consent from Thomas Potter
- Record, screenshot, or reproduce video or written content beyond personal note-taking
- Upload or make any course content available on any public or private third-party platform
3 — Intellectual property
All course content — including videos, written materials, resources, code examples, and assets — remains the sole intellectual property of Thomas Potter. These Terms grant you access only; no ownership or rights are transferred. Unauthorised use or distribution may result in immediate access termination without refund and may constitute a breach of copyright law.
4 — Course access
Access to purchased materials is provided electronically via the Platform. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account login details
- Ensuring course content is accessed only by you
- Any activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we reasonably suspect your account or materials are being shared.
5 — Refund policy
We offer a 30-day refund window from the date of purchase, subject to the conditions below.
- How to request: Email contact@thomaspotter.uk with the email address used for purchase and your reason for the request.
- On approval: Your access to all associated course materials will be immediately revoked.
- Exceptions: Refunds will not be granted where there is evidence that course materials have been downloaded and shared or distributed - this constitutes misuse and voids the refund right.
6 — Payments and pricing
All prices are displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase and are subject to change. Payments are processed securely by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details. Purchases are denominated in the currency shown at checkout and are non-transferable between accounts.
7 — Course content and updates
We reserve the right to modify, update, or remove course content at any time to reflect changes in techniques, tools, or best practices. Significant removals will be accompanied by reasonable notice where possible. Updates to content do not entitle you to a refund.
8 — Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Thomas Potter and the Platform shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the course materials, including but not limited to loss of earnings, data, or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant course.
Results vary depending on individual effort, prior experience, and circumstances. Nothing in these materials constitutes professional, legal, or financial advice.
9 — Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10 — Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform following notification of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
